CREATE - Chicago, 2013 - There & Back

September 1, 2013

It's hard to believe that I just got home a week ago, today!?  This week has been a blur of catching up, looking forward, and a bevy of new surprises!  But, before we rush headlong in to all of that  ...a look back at my week away, on a grand adventure, to my very 1st Vendor Faire!  We had a BLAST!  From the ride, to the students, to the Faire, and all the way back home -- there was laughter, music, good food, and wonderful memories!

...setting out on our grand adventure!
Confused by the difference in price posted & what we
paid in the land of Toll Booths:  we aren't towing anything!?
Me:  "Ooh, OOH -- LOOOK!" *scrambling for the phone*
Jodi:  "What?"
Me:  "It's a DOUBLE!"
Jodi:  "Oh, I thought you had a thing for Beetle Bug Cars..."
...the green rolling hills of WV
I couldn't get this song out of my head

Not so lovely,

Goodnight, Moon!

A photo of a photo
...it's better this way -- it was really dark when we
actually saw downtown Dayton!
Into the Land of Corn we go!
Indiana is a looong state,
with LOADS o' corn!
A lofty claim!
...proven wrong, later in the day
Where ELSE?
There were copious corn fields,
and several of these signs!
In addition to corn?
Award winning CHEESE!
Biggest. Starbucks. Sign. EVER!Lebanon, IN
...also, the best coffee and nicest staff!
C'mon!  Baby don't you wanna go?
...all the signs had me channeling my inner
Blues Brothers!

Surreal Beauty in the Corn Fields
From a distance, it looked like there were only
a few of these; it turned out to be MANY!
They were other-worldly
in their appearance.

incredible artist and bringer of wine

Just behind her, another new bud, the lovely Angela!

Heading back Home
Good morning, Indianapolis!

Big Sky in Indiana
...if the skies really are bigger in Wyoming,
I don't think my poor heart could stand it!

More Corn - Indiana
...I admit, it's really all about that gorgeous sky,
but one cannot overlook the obvious
...there was all that corn!

Back into the hills
...under a beautiful sky in Ohio

More Sky
...can't seem to help myself -- the sky speaks to me

Last Leg of the Journey
I took the wheel for our last day on the road,
and Jodi manned the camera!
...I am not the only one who loves the sky
;)

minutes from entering West Virginia

Beautiful Scenery
was the order of the day -- everything looked so
vivid under that bright, blue sky!

Under a Magritte Sky
Me:  "WOW!  The sky looks like a Magritte painting!"
Jodi:  *rolls window down, turns on camera,
snaps, grins, rolls window up*

Photo Log - Welcome

August 29, 2013

Here, you will find a plethora of photos from my creative adventures!  It occurred to me that it would be ever-so-much-more-seemly to have them on their own page (?)  I admit, this is being done in an earnest effort to streamline the whole Blogging process -- at which I am woefully "outside the box" in my approach!

Apparently the "Rule" of 'short, sweet, and to the point' just won't take root in this scattered noggin of mine.  Hopefully, you will enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed the experiences that brought them to roost here.

Here's lookin' at you!
